Taylor Hagood


Taylor Hagood is a polymath whose interests and activities span literature, travel, music, art, and sports. A professor of American literature and Director of the Study of the Americas Initiative at Florida Atlantic University, he is an internationally acclaimed scholar of the writing of Nobel Prize laureate William Faulkner, having written multiple books and articles on the author and currently serving as the President of the William Faulkner Society. He regularly lectures on a range of topics in a variety of venues, drawing on his experiences in travel, playing the piano and several other instruments, and fencing in the classical French, Italian, Hungarian, and Spanish styles.
